Students will learn and practice Spanish speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to establish proficiency at an intermediate level.  Students will gain a more in depth understanding of the uses of various expressions, vocabulary words, and grammar.  Students will become familiar with and compare their own culture to various Hispanic cultures in different parts of the world.  At the end of the course, students that are learning Spanish as a second language will be able to have conversations in Spanish about everyday life.  Furthermore, they will be able to write about a variety of topics.  The heritage-speaking student will be challenged at a higher level to refine their Spanish skills.  Students in the Pre-AICE Spanish II course will be prepared for the AICE Spanish Language course to be taken next year.
